Qualifications
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and NP availability
- Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- Report to clinical coordinator or practice administrator
- Perform procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant
- Assist providers in exam rooms
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy calls
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to providers
- Maintain all logs and required checks (I.E. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
- 10 hour shift
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mesa, AZ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
